My 12 year old tires finally gave up :p They still have tread, they're just coming apart from dry rot. I put it off as long as I could but I need tires..............like TODAY!! Lift and big wheels will have to wait until next year :(

What's the biggest, meatiest tires I can fit on my 82 Waggy with no lift and stock rims?? I'll probably go with Goodyear because my neighbor can get me a deal.

Thanks in advance for info!

:fsj: <----<< Looks just like my Waggy but with bigger tires

Aren't 31s even pushing it a bit at factory height? I know if you have wag sag much you won't want to be hitting it very hard.

I bought my last FSJ with 31"s and a 4" lift.. There was not alot of extra room in those fenders.. I would probably go with something a bit smaller...

After looking and measuring 31's will be **** close. I work at home and drive it very little, that's why I wasn't too worried about the old tires. The body is totally rust free and I don't want to cut or damage anything. If I have to, I'll go smaller.

The Goodyear idea is out. I didn't realize there was as strike. The Goodyear place said it could take more than a week to get tires  I'm probably going with BFG's, I found a reasonable deal on them locally. After looking at it this morning, I can't believe I made it home on the bad tire last night. As I pulled in the driveway one of my hubcaps rolled off from all the vibration :o That was probably the last of my good luck for a while :(

I have 31 x 12.5's on my wagon and they rubbed the front fender in a turn but the truck has a bad case of "wag sag" in the front. I installed a 3" body lift and no more rub.

Mine seems to sag more in the back. I have an early am apointment at the tire store. I'll take some pics of whatever I come back with but I'm hoping to squeeze the 31's on :D

The 31" BFG's fit!! If I turn the wheels all the way, they will rub the springs (I think) slightly. Seems like it would do that lifted or not though  Anyway, I'm good to go and I appreciate the help. I'll take a pic tomorrow. It looks good with the meaty tires filling up the wheel wells and it rides better too

Easy fix. Just adjust the steering stops so that the tires won't turn as far.
