Well around 80.00 to 100.00 depending on where you shop and what you get. Oh yea I would also do the pushrods as well, around $30.00 if I remember right. I would hold off till you have the cash to do it right, it will cost less in the end.

If you're cash strapped, it's ok to put new lifters on a used cam, but never put used lifters with a new cam.

If so, try and do it yourself to save on the cost of labor.
The right thing to do is what Pete said, do the cam with new lifters.
Problem is it includes some other stuff you should also do costing about 300.
Rockers - 63.20
Push Rods - 16.00
Intake valley pan - 16.95
PAW Stock cam kit - 84.95
Timing Chain/Gears - 59.00
Oil Pump Kit - 22.00
Rear main seal - 7.00
Oil Pan Gasket - 12.99
Timing cover set - 16.99

If you want to do just lifters (which is not recommended) they will run you about the same as a cam kit because the sources I buy from (PAW and Summit) do not have the cheaper stock lifters readily available. You should do rods and valley pan if you do lifters alone. I tried this without success and had to buy lifters again that's when I found out lifters alone are the same amount as the cam kit that includes the cam and lifters.

There's no way in the world I would do lifters without cam or vice-versa. Push-rods: if they're straight and are all the same length(not worn on tips) then run them.

But you should do the cam while you are there. And the timing chain.

Ok...The lifters are in with new rods. The cam was inspected and all is well. The engine goes back together and behold...still some ticking but not clacking as b4. Engine gets torn down again to find the prob. Oh the timing chain had some slack and that was taken care of.
The problem now is that after removing the pan we found some plastic pieces and some metal pieces. Ran a magnet and it picked up the metal parts. Now to find out where it came from.
Anyone have any ideas as to where they came from??
