Floppy Gas Pedal ?

So, my gas pedal is floppy. It has very little resistance for the first 2/3 of travel and then is really touchy for the rest. I want to firm it up with more even acceleration throughout the whole arc. Is this a pedal/linkage thing, or should I be looking elsewhere?

You could try a different throttle return spring. Some are stiffer than others.
