So I swapper in a J-20 booster the other day, and now think I can stop the J10 and a trailer without clenching up so hard i rip my seat cover.

BUT the brake pedal is now higher than it used to be, and I drag my foot across it when goin g from gas to brakes.

Any advice for lowering the brake pedal or raising the gas pedal height?

The 77 tsm says the power booster rod is not adjustable and a proper height rod would have been installed in the booster at the factory.

Thanks,

Daniel

The clutch is usually adjustable, but not the gas far as I know. In my 80's rigs, there's adjustment right in the rod that goes from the pedal to the bellcrank. As far as the gas pedal, you might have to literally bend the pedal linkage if it's that much of an interference.

I'm about to swap in a tandem diaphragm booster. Hopefully I'm not going to run into that too....

Yeah, my only guess it that somehow there was a different spec for a cou0le of years OR (more likely) the second hand booster I got may not really be a proper jeep part, maybe an interchange or something. Not a big deal, it's only about a quarter or half inch higher than I like, and prolly a quarter inch different than before.
