Kinda like some of the Zuk guys run? Anyone ever seen someone do it on a FSJ? Was just searching on Pirate and thought it might be a way to fin d a slightly longer front stock leaf from another vehicle and do this.
Especially for a trail only trailered vehicle.
Watcha think Andrew?

Nobody? Have I confused you?
Something like this but with leafs like a 3/4 without the shackle reversal.
I don't express myself well through a keyboard and I'm terrible in paint.

Hey Steve, I know what you're talking about. 3/4 elliptical suspensions are fairly gimmicky to begin with, however, they work decently in the front. In the rear they just create extra axle wrap. Still though, I think you're better off running a good set of leaf springs and coils in the rear. That usually makes for a very balanced, stable, and flexy setup that wheels well. The 3/4 elliptical setup is just chincy in my opinion. When you really get into wheelin it hard there is too much bounce and flex and stuff breaks.

I was kinda thinkin that but wanted another opinion. Since I'm in the middle of a move, I have nothing to do but search the boards and brainstorm. After I put the coils on the rear, it sits a little higher than I expected. Of course I have not put my tanks or gear back there yet either. Plus my old stock waggy leafs have just about give up the ghost and I'm lookin at a alternatives to having to buy new front springs.
Thanks Andrew.
See guys. "The Advisor" can be nice and informative too! SHHHHH, don't tell anyone.:fsj:
