Last time I lifted my FSJ I had the front drive shaft extended, new joints.... Cost about $150. I just got my T18 in from PartsMike. I'll need to move the x-member to the rear position and the tranny is about 3" longer than my T176 so my Tcase will be that much further back so I need a longer front shaft again. I was wondering if anyone had an idea of another vehicle I might be able to get one from instead of extending mine again. Maybe a suburban?

Hey Jamie,
It shouldn't cost you that much to have your front shaft extended with a new tube. I forget what mine cost because we are cool with some of the mechs at the driveline shop and they gave me a good deal when I had my front DS made 9" longer. That way you don't need new joints and CV, just new tube to your length and balance. Yours might be the only custom application with long shaft T18 and D300 so without knowing the needed shaft length, might be hard to find someone what knows another application that will fit.
So how goes the swap?
Did he get all the parts you needed?
Does the AA adapter / tranny mount line up with the crossmember?
Oh yeah and of coarse, PICS, PICS, PICS, PICS, PICS, PICS, PICS!!
:D

Panther,
I measured everything and it looks like the AA Adapter will land right where it needs to on the crossmember once I move it to the back set of holes. Bad thing is I'll need to resize both shafts by about 3", but I guess I'll wait till its on for the exact length like you mentioned. Good thing is it'll improve the angle of the front shaft with my SOA. BTW, I'm keeping the 208 behind T18 since I have Driver's side drop and have a spare. I will surely post some pics. I plan on dropping the T176 on Monday night, installing the T18 on Tuesday and hopefully I'll have the shafts by the weekend. There's a Wheeling event coming the nearby Las Cruces on the 19th that will be a great test for the new setup.

That would be great Sam, I know the rear drive shaft needs to be about 40" compressed. I'll go check the front.
