So it seems I can do a 4" lift, fender trimming, 33x10.5s on stock 87' mags and be fine. Unfortuanatly it does not seems like anyone is running this setup that I have found so far.

So that makes me lean towards 33x12.5s which I hear will rub the rear springs if I run the factory 7" rim.

I have searched the archives for the proper backspacing for a 33x12.5 on a N/T late model Grand Wagoneer. Oh my gosh... there are pages and pages of links with no standard answer. Some say 3 5/8" some say 3.5" and some suggest going to 3" to get even more clearance.

So two questions before I go spend the big green

1) ANYONE running 33x10.5 MTs on a late model N/T wagoneer? and do you like this setup

2) If I go 33x12.5 on a late model N/T Grand and purchase a 8" wheel what backspacing should I get to clear the springs and have a decent turning radius in the front?

Sorry to keep posting guys.... don't want to spend hundreds of $$ on something that will not work.

THANKS AGAIN TO ALL and I apologize for the newbe questions!

Between 3-5/8, 3-1/2, and 3.... I think you are just going to have to take the plunge... a blind leap of faith of sorts.

Sorry I can't be of more help

I beleive it's 3 5/8". Many people are running 33x12.5s on stock rims, and some are running 33x10.5s or 33x9.5s. I think 33x10.5 tires are good on a N/T FSJ, they should fit fine with a 4" lift. I plan to go with a 4" lift and 34x10.5s

I'm running 4" lift, 33X12.5 A/T's, 15X8" w/3.75" BS. Minor trimming front and rear. I rub a little in the rear at full flex.

Here's a static pic. 3.75" BS is what you want
