If you do a search here you'll get more info, but I think the consensus has been they don't holdup to the FSJ over the long haul.

There is at least one roll over helped to happen because they unloaded at the wrong time.
I did a quick search and found 4 pages of threads

I am in the design stage of a revolver shackle for full size rigs. I think you will all find it plenty beefy and pin-able for more predictable/controllable suspension feel.
It is actually pretty simple in design and I got rid of the need for the stupid UHMW sleeve that teraflex uses (one of the patentable features that deviates from Teraflex's patent)
I am planning on making a set for my rear end first to test it all out as soon as my 15bolt (:D) is in place.

That link was only good for your search Charles...
Search on "revolver shackles" and plenty of reading will be found. I would personally not use them.

Teraflex is working on a heavier-duty revolver built for full-size rigs. They're lockable, too, so if you tow or are on the road or a trail where you don't want them to unload, you'll be ok.
I stuck a prototype hd set up next to my rig and there may be clearance issues with the steering box. The originals will fit fine.If you want the originals now, you need the XJ rear revolvers. My bro has some on the front of his wag and they seem fine. I'm not sure if they're a way cool idea or a way scary idea. BTW, they'll lift the front of you rig about 1.5- 1.75".

Not too sound cool, but I am. Revolvers did not hold up in the long run. I broke a set that was on the front on my rig. I ran them in spring under and spring over configurations. In retrospect the didn't provide any significant increase in flex because the bind when the spring twists during flex. I can get more flex from a SOA and regular shackle than with a SOA and revolver. Back in the day I ran em and liked em but that was before I knew what the hell I was doing. In the long run they probably caused more problems than they helped.
