Ok I might be getting an 82 Wagoneer Limited. I wanted to know wether I can run 33s on 4 inches of lift and XJ cut out flares? I am trying to keep costs down and have a good daily driver.
Thanks a lot.

Honestly if money is an issue, and you're not afraid to cut sheetmetal....
Just install the cutouts, and nevermind the 4" lift.
I've seen 35's on a wag w/ no lift, but lots of metal was gone:D

32x11.5x15 tires on 7" stock rims will fit a 4" lifted Wag with slight rubbing on front leaf springs at full turn. On 8" rims with proper backspacing (like stock white or chrome spoked wheels) these tires fit pretty good. Once you go to 33x12.5x15 tires, you will need to trim sheet metal or lift higher, XJ flares or not. I personally think the flares are a waste of money until you get up to 35s or bigger.

I had 32x11.50's with a superlift 4" kit. I had rubbing in the rear fenders that put slices in my sidewalls. A little cutting fixed that.
I agree with Flint on the flares. Seems like the Bushwacker flares cost as much as a 4" lift kit
