Dash

Has anyone made themselves a custom dash? how hard is it? also, anyone know where i can get a dashpad for my J3000 that don't have any cracks or anything in it? Im thinking about ripping out my current guage clusters and buying an Autometer or VDO set and moving the guages more right... any suggestions?
