Front output shaft assembly...

I can't, for the life of me, figure out how to get this thing out!
The case is COMPLETELY dissasembled aside from this unit.
The shift fork's retaining screw is *COMPLETELY* hidden and I simply can't get to it. I thought that was the way to disassemble it, but don't think it is.

If anyone knows, PLEASE, for the love of GOD, HELP!!!!

EDIT: I went to Novak's webpage which has good information on disassembly, but lacks detail on this portion.

OK, some of the older D20's have a snap ring right after the front bearing. Once you remove that, take off the back plate, the one with the 4 9/16 bolts and shims. Then put the front nut back on a little to protect the threads and then hit the shaft with a rubber mallat. It will slde right out. Then you will be able to turn the fork and get the retaining screw. If the snap ring is not there then just remove the plate and then tap it with the rubber mallet.
