Flint and I can only cover so much ground. Who wants to come up earlier and help us recon new trails? We've pretty much exhausted teh trails that we as the CFSJA reconed before THE invasion. I have new books and maps showing every 2 track in the area. Now we need to get up there and reconnoiter. Who wants in??

earlier ??? as in the week before? or month/s before? I may be in for the week before.
I'm gonna try to make the Widowmaker Hillclimb in UT. Then I 'll have a week to burn before Ouray. :drivin:
Although there are still some unfinished trails in Monticello , UT.

Like Lockhart Basin between Monticello and Moab? Done that one Memorial Day weekend in 01. It was peggin 100 a lot between 10 and 3. Whew. Like the last week of April would be best time for that area.
I'd like to see the rest of the mountains in Monticello. Last time there I got up quite a ways before the snow got too deep.
Then there is the trail running kinda along the Colorado River heading North to the confluence with the Green River. Which by the way is my most favorite hangout spot in the SouthWest. One day I'll have a rig big enough to take the trail to the overlook all the way to the end. I usually hike the last couple of miles. I've seen tire marks all the way out.:drivin:
I always stayed at the camp ground a few miles North of Monticello just as you start to head down to the valley floor. Great place on the right as you go down the canyon.

I'd like to give it a shot. Gotta hunker-down and make a little filthy lucre over the Winter to hopefully get the ol' Wag back in shape. Dang thing's been dead-nut reliable for the past few years, and I've used the respite to ignore the poor ol' gal, which has rightly bitten me in the butt of late.
I might rent a room to a Monarch skiier or three; so if y'all kanow of any, send 'em to the old Yellow House in Maysville. A CS-130 alternator buys a room for the weekend and all the PBR you can swill.
