Chunk the track bars in the scrap metal bin. I have a 6 inch lift with no track bars or sway bar and it drives fine. I just got the shocks that came with my kit.

Don't throw the trac bar away. You never know when you'll need one or at least you can horse trade it for other (more useful) parts.

the track bar is a good @ss beating stick when you're on the trail.
As for the shocks, I can't remember what length is appropriate for a 4" kit but try bjsoffroad.com. I'm pretty sure they'll sell you some shocks or at least tell you what length you need.

The track bar is supposed to improve handling isn't it? I would see how much it is to extend that track bar or buy one designed for a lifted vehicle and put some quick disconnects on it for wheeling.
At least you can chop it and make some cheap horseshoe posts out of it. I'm buying a tie rod on the way home so I can chop it and put a pit in my backyard for a party this weekend.

the trac bar/ Panhard Rod is there to keep the axle from having latteral movement... to keep the body sitting directly over the tires. with out the the springs have to do that job... that is the first thing I remove on my jeeps... I find them useless... these are not hot rods and don't need to have cornering capabilities... and if the front still fits then your front axle is probably pulled to the left because it should be around an inch from lining up... BJ's sells a trac bar relocation bracket for $22 each. If I were you, I'd order a pair and keep the trac bars.
