I've got my new beadlocks but i need an idea for a paint scheme. I got the double ripper style from http://www.diy4x.com/beadlocks.htm  the steelies i have are black but i need the teeth to stick out. so i was thinking black wheel, blue teeth and black outer ring? i suck at photoshop so i can't really tell what i want. what do you guys think about it? you know what color my truck is but i don't want it to look like a pinwheel rolling underneath.
also, i would post a poll but it would have 80 options. I want as many responses and opinions as i can get so to make it simple just post color schemes if that's all.
Wheel/Inner Ring/Outer Ring
Thanks guys! :fsj:
edit: here's a pic.

Sounds good. Just stay away from that lime green look on beedlocks that's been popular. Can't stand that look!!

Why blue? Not orange? I think it would look awesome with black steelie, orange inner, black outer... like a highlight to the wheel to draw attention and then see the black teeth as well.

why not? that's just the first thing that came to mind. i figure you see enough oraneg already. my links are blue, cage (when built) will be blue and the harnesses blue i just figured i'd try and break up the orange some more. keep'em coming guys.

I can go with that... I am kinda a Bronco's fan... not a Jake Plummer fan though. What kind of blue... dark, light, in-between?
What about a black steelie, orange inner, blue outer? I think that would be cool.

I would think Blue/Orange/Blue would look cool. You can keep the majority of your wheel blue to go with the blue highlights in your truck while making the teeth orange to give you that contrast (orange truck with blue highlights and blue wheel with orange highlights).

I clicked on the thread to see what you were going to paint but I'm not good with colors and I don't have a smartass answer to post

I could photoshop it for you tomorrow if you have a couple of combinations you want to see. I will set it up so it is easy to change the color scheme using masks. Let me know...
This is my 10th (EDIT: 11th now) page view FWIW. :D
I will use this picture unless you have a better profile view.

that would be sweet  the only others i have are older and less current. i'll be tearing into it tomorrow though. i know i posted this a bit late.
no worries though. what's the worst that will happen? maybe i'll have to tear it all back down just to paint it again... uh... 32x4 = 128 bolts, washers and nuts torqued to 15 ft/lbs each.. uh maybe not

I read on Pirate I think that the best way to do bead locks is to set your compressor output pressure & airgun just right so that it torques to 15 ft-lbs. After you double check a few times with a torque wrench of course.

heard that too but at some point you have to handle all those bolts and hardware all over again. after i mount 4 tires and locks i think i want to be done for awhile. i could always just mount one but that's too easy.

Well, make an executive decision and go with it. I am sure it will look fine.
