nice pics...........slim and I are from victoria and both have been busy building our 77 chero's together for the last while. His list is fairly extensive as its been off the road for a while, and I have just finished my 4spd swap with D20 twin stick, and some other things including some captured motor mounts as we all know they break too often. Your in cloverdale.......maybe we can link up for a wheel sometime, I will be over there in a few weeks, up for a little wheelin?

Brian.....I will be coming over there on the 13th of October for a couple of nights, staying near Scott Rd and hwy 10.....Even if we cant link up for a wheel maybe link up and BS about jeep stuff. I'll email ya.............

Eric, will keep an eye out for ya, which way are you taking to Port Alberni/Bamfield? What brings you to that neck of the woods? I have gone in through Lake Cowichan towards Bamfield and its a nice drive, but also gone in through nanaimo into Port Alberni. I went on a boat tour to Bamfield and it was interesting to say the least.

Maybe we can all link up sometime and do a fsj wheeling trip, either slim and I can accomodate you guys over here for some wheelin or we can hit the ferry if you guys wanna show us around the mainland.

I'm over to do some diving...hooking up with friends for the Thanksgiving weekend(note to our southern brethern,Canadian Thanks giving is earlier than yours) for some fun local stuff then Sunday night up to Alberni(after dropping friend off at Nanimio ferry back home)where I'm involved in a diving course for the rest of the week.
At this point in time I'm good for light wheeling as the truck is a work in progress and progress isn't as fast as I'd like.
I'm in North Van and 10min from the ferry terminal so if your coming through give me a heads up.
I've got an 84GW parts truck so anything I can't use on the WT is avalible.
You guys know of a Brit called Graham in New West. he has a pretty good collection of NOS for FSJs and a wealth of info

Yes know Graham well Norgra Parts .been dealing with him since the early 90's when I was a parts guy here for the old Amc/Jeep dealership (not Chrysler full line dealer then:p ) ... He is an old Hudsun/Nash/Amc parts guy himself, ...

hmm a road trip to the main land with the FSJ? sounds great...we did one to Salt Spring once,, ferry works had their eyes :eek: as they watched us air back up in the ferry lines,...lol

got the broken mount swaped out today.........and straightened out my shifter linkage, i guess when the mount let got it twisted up the linkage...........funny it actually starts in park now:D why do these things always break when your balls to the wall wide open:drivin:

one of my last trips out ,,,and the final straw with mounts for Me ,,was when I was out on a trail run ,,,I had broken my mounts,,so I was fed up and chained the engine,, next trip ,,,brokem then again still ,,,so I was pissed ,,,was goin to take the rig home on a highway drive and fix it all up ,,the engine twisted so bad ,,the trans started pukin fluid,,,...Caught Fire, ,,,,:eek:

lucky I carry a couple on baord fire exting. and Fsjeep was near by ,,,sent my kid running to him ,,,,"My Dads Jeep is on fire ,,,on fire,,"

only need to see/have that happen once,.....to NEVER use those mounts again ,,,
