* CrazyJeepman bashes Sambo over the head with a 14 Bolt Carrier!!!!!!!!!
I can't believe you want to get me started on that again! :grumble:

Well I will never make the mistake of buying anything, genuine gear again, ever!

Front Detroit Locker install is going together much smoother, with all Yukon parts ;)

my d70 detroit and 4.56's came yesterday, now THAT is a heavy SOB, let me tell you what. I couldn't believe how huge they are. The pinion is as big around as my fist, it's crazy. Beef, it's what's for dinner! :D

I have a set of 5.89's from an m715 if I decide to go lower, but I think this should be plenty. 5.13 sounds like it would be a nice middle between the two, let us know how it performs! :drivin: :fsj:

Brad, just an FYI if your D70 is a late model from what I understand the pinion offset isn't the same as the M715 and the ring/pinion won't interchange. The M715 uses a .50" pinion offset and the FC 170 or Gladiator DRW has a pinion offset of 1.120" so swapping things around and ratio availability isn't the most straight forward with that axle.

aww crap, I guess that means I'll have to use a spacer or get a new r&p for the back if I end up going that route. At least the D60 stuff will interchange. How many different version of the D70 is out there, lol. this is absurd...

On the bright side, it wont matter right now, since I'm running the 4.56's that came with the detroit. That should help with mileage and allow it to be streetable, since it's not quite a trailer queen yet.

I am anxious to hear how those 5.13's perform though, I bet they are quite responsive to power. muhahahaha.
