View Full Version : Electric Radiator Fan motor and Pulley space

If I position my electric puller fan in the center of the radiator, the center of the fan motor lines up with the water pump pulley shaft. The space between these two parts is 1/2". That makes me nervous. Should it?

The water pump pulley is a three belt. I have no use for the third belt space. Does the three belt pulley disassemble?

Besides the junk yard, is there a source for pullies? Napa doesn't sell pullies.

Should I just offset the fan from center of the radiator? Has anyone else had to do this? Will this effect cooling?

Thanks for reading my bonehead questions.

My fan blades are roughly 1/2" from the radiator now and they have never gone through. I suspect that you have enough clearance to mount it in the center.
