Rear axle from a Chev bolt on my J-10?

Ive got a '79 J-10 that I need an axle to put under it by tomorrow. If a chev rear axle can fit under it for a fix until I can get mine rebuilt. Can this be done?

it wont bolt in. It needs to have new spring perches welded on. You will als have to find one thats wide enough. 1/2 ton chevy trucks/fullsize blazers use a much narrower rear axle then j-trucks do.
