I threw down and ordered one for my Dana 60 front. You can't beat the price. Thought I would pass along the info. BTW, these aren't cheap knock offs. They are the real deal.

Guess they're expecting them by the end of the month or first week in September at the latest.
I went ahead and added a D44 cover to my order too for the front. More turd polish!

after reading up on anther board, I guess these things have been 'backordered' for at least 6 weeks if not more.....Also, mad4wd isn't a rockcrusher dealer so they've purchased them from a 3rd party and as you might have guessed they're selling them below rockcrusher's minimum retail price so they're pissed off and have filed some sort of legal action against mad4wd.
I hope they ship end of the month/first month of september as they promissed, but I have a suspiscion I may be asking for my money back..........

Yes they have a version of the high pinion high clearance diff. Those prices are very cheap! I know a couple of distributors that are bummed they just did some sort of buy in only to have their throats cut on the deal (or so I have heard)

"vacuum disco front end uses a different cover"
Does anyone make a better cover for the vacuum-Dana-44? Aluminum, stainless or whatever? Otherwise, I'll Just plate mine in nickle or maybe powdercoat it silver/gray. Gotta keep up with the mall-cruisers in their H3s LOL.

Nope, just a stocker in the front which is what will be replaced by this Rockcrusher cover. In the rear I got a sweet rock ring with ring gear guard I picked up off of ebay years ago for cheap. It has served me well.

Just saw this update on their website for all of us waiting on our new diff covers!!
The first shipment is completely SOLD OUT, the second is set to arrive sometime in October. They would have been on time if the 'other' guys would not have tried to to get the shipment held up via the Australian court system. They tried (and lost!) to stop us but rest assured they are on the way! Please do not email us constantly for updates, if you need to change your order please call us. Thanks for your patience.

Haven't recieved it yet, but they just posted this on their site:
UPDATE ON 11-15-06 !!!!!
We just received word from our customs broker that the parts are in the USA and we are waiting for them to arrive at Mad4wd. They told us that it would take 1 week for them to show up. Thanks for your patience and support of the 'original' US and Australian TRADE MARKED Aussie manufactured parts.....ask where the 'other' company's parts are manufactured ????
Hopefully they'll be shipping this week or early next week!

Well they called me this morning, to gather my new CC info due to the loss of my old one. They gave me an ETA date of Dec 5th. :dancingbanana:
Hi Guys ! Would this fit on an 87 GW, front end? The different shape diffcover with vacuum disconnect is only 83 and 84, AFAIK?
Thanks

Yes they would fit the Front and Rear on your 87
Thanks a lot!
Has anybody experience with the diffcovers BJ is offering? Are the rockcrushers much better (or maybe worse) than these? They seem to be some kind of a legend. Sorry if the question is dumb, I am new to this. I would guess that the bolt holes in the axle will break at some point, so a diffcover does only need to hold up to this impact :banghead:.
Or what do you guys say?
Cheers

These are a little more expensive, but definitely good quality:
http://www.rokmen.com/products/differential_protection/riddler_diff_covers/riddler_diff_covers.html
Riddler was formed when the original guys at Crane split apart. The guy running riddler was the guy doing most of the work at crane, and after one too many arguments with chris crane decided to start his own gig.
Besides the vendor is local to me and has always bent over backwards to help out.

Probally not, since you most likely have the Vac operated front axle. If you have the button to pull down before you can flip the switch from 2 WD to 4 WD then these covers will not work...............stuck with the stock one ;)

Grant from Mad Four Wheel Drive just called me......... LOL I swear it was Crocidile Dundee talking :bluelaugh: Super nice guy to talk with, and he cut the shipping on my order since I will have to wait for quite awile yet on the Corp 14 Bolt Cover. However the Dana 60 cover is shipping out in the morning. He said all D60 cover orders will be shipping out over the next few days. Sorry I didn't think to ask about D44 covers...............I figured it was a lot of Cover for a 44 so  whats the point :p

I wished I had waited to get mine, but how was I to know that a great deal like this would come up. I have the front and rear Dana 44 covers. I suggest you ditch the bolts that came with covers and get some allen head bolts. I could not get a socket on the six point bolts to torque to spec. The allen head bolts are the way to go in my opinion. I need to get some pictures, but I painted my covers black and went over the letters with red model enamel. Looks real good.

I got my 44 cover last week too. The one thing I noticed about it is how much higher the fill plug hole is. If you fill it up to the level of this plug, do you think your seals would fail any quicker?
