I haven't had the buggy out since the beginning of June. My motivation to wheel in this rediculously hot weather has been like 0%. I'm starting to get pumped now though that I can see the light at the end of this summer tunnel. I hate summer.

Would have been a good video if the camera man was paying attention! He missed the final run that made it! :banghead: I like the use of the rear steer though.

That's what I would like to see more of from FSJ's. Not hiking trails or pebbles or ditches. A long rock trail, tires spinning, occasional sideways sliding, lots of steering, a little struggle, but making it up. Excelent video. No offense to those who have posted something else, I'm just stating what I like to see. Not that yours sucks. Any wheeling pic of FSJ's is better than garage pics. Well, for this thread.

I have a tire spinning video in my signature fwiw. So far, my pics are ditches and pebbles  so I won't contradict my previous statements. ;) Well, I guess not all of them...

FWIW, wheeling in Colorado... the "occasional sideways sliding" would result in major vehicle damage and possible death the occupants. Take this guy for example.... he wasn't paying attention to the trail and rolled his CJ off the side of the trail about 30' down a steep hill into the river. We are pretty sure they were ok... there wasn't any blood on anything or anyone stuck inside. (that's me on the rear end)

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v490/SVO42/honeymoon-Colorado%20Ouray%20FSJ%20Invasion/7-21-068.jpg

On the trails in Ouray... most places where you would see a long rock trail you would have to hold the camera out the window... because you can't open the driver door (into the mountain) or the passenger door (1000ft+ dropoff). Ask HOOT about his experiences riding shotgun with Viscasha!

The only places to see tires spinning around here are on the logging roads!

4x4fEvEr, Way cool man!!! I love the waterfall vid!
Very nice rig as well.

Brutus, that's the only way to get up most of the tough stuff here in the southeast. Put it in gear, stomp your foot and saw the wheel. Knowing when to let up the boot is key, or the risk of bodily harm is also elivated. :D

Yeah... Phil (IFSJA Flatbakdragn) said that it was by far the worst he has seen it in many years. Before our group did Poughkeepsie, Phil did it sometime earlier and tore off his rear bumper on his cherokee. He couldn't believe how bad it was.

Edit: here is my wheelin' pick for this weekend... finishing off the rear axle and mocking both axles together!

Thanks Brad, a decent description and pic's are in the "1970 Wagoneer - It's Time" link in my sig. Starts on page 6 and runs up through about page 9. It's still got a ways to go to be finished.

OT: Tadsal, how do you like the 36" hummer tires? I have a friend that is building his blazer for 35-36" tires and we're looking at them.

Me, my brother, and a friend in the chevy showing who's at the top of the automotive food chain. I hope to have real wheeling pics soon.

They fit my budget really well, I think I have $180 into 7 of them, mounted and balanced on stock 6.75" wide rims (we have a base here so they come up locally pretty often).
They are not great in sand but aired down to about 20 or so they are passable. Do very nicely in dirt and rock, not a lot of mud in my life but J10Mike has been wheelin' on them back east and is pretty happy.
They are bias ply tires so they are a bit hard to balance and as it gets cooler, the morning flat spots are more noticable, but they are gone within the first mile or so.
