big tyres

hey

a have a problem i want to go off-road with my 1976 cherokee
but i don't know wich tyres will fitt because the rear leaf springs are so close to the original tyres i have a 4" lift kit skyjacker has anyone had some experience with this

Is your cherokee a Wide Trac (big fender flares) or a Narrow Trac (smaller fender openings like a 4dr wagoneer)?

I am going to assume its an NT. Which means its not the tire diameter that matters, but the width. A 12.50 on an 8" wide wheel will clear the leafs, they wont on a 7" wide wheel. 10.50's on a 7" wheel will work fine however.

For diameter, a 31" tire will fit fine without any rubbing, the sky jacker is a bit more than 4", soa 32" tire will probably fit. To go bigger, it requires trimmig the fenders (unless its a WT).
