Broken plastic window track

Ok, I know how to do this one. My question is; Does anyone have trouble with them breaking over and over? I've replaced the driver's door window track 3 times, and both rear doors once each. Am I just buying old dried out plastic (still sealed), or cold something else be causing this? Do I need to lube the chanel that they run on also?

When you put the new one in, it should be lubricated with white lithium grease. Lube the track where it rides. Yes, these things su#k and break all the time especially in the winter. I've done all of mine and am just waiting for the next one to break.
