Boy its good to be home! Our trip was relatively uneventful until we pulled off the highway to the house. Two miles from home my QT gasped its last breath. :grumble: Flint had to tow strap me back to the homestead. At least the old girl loves me enough to have held it together until we were safe off the highway and out of the mountains. I tell you what... I've never heard a QT make noises like it did when she puked. Can't wait to see what the guts look like when we pull it and crack 'er open.

Anywho... post up here when you get home and let us know you made it safe. Post your pics and trail reports in new threads. It was delightful to spend time with old friends and meet such great new folks! Thank you all for coming!!! And get those pix posted!!!

Now... time for a steaming hot shower and :alc:

Glad you guys made it home safe. It was sure nice meeting you. There is already a picture thread started.

I have the 'Boa of shame' packed away safe.

That hot shower is going to feel good! I took one when I got home, nothing better! THen I slept for several hours. My stories and pictures are so compelling my wife is ready to go next year. Ouray is great with the trails so close.

Thanks again for getting it done. See you next year.

Mike, I thought you were safe from that disgrace...

I had a great time and will be back next year, maybe with my wife. Thanks to Flint and Krista for taking the bull by the horns and working to make it a success.

I made it home at 16:10, wedding at 17:00. Time to spare. <grin>

Yes! It was great to meet so many new wonderful people. Makes me even more proud to own one of these FSJ's. Like very wise man said to me, (paraphrased) its not just the FSJ's we come together for, its the great experiences with great people. So very true. I hope I get to meet more of this group next year.

Well, I can't really say why at this moment. It will all be told in the end but for now we are keeping it quiet. The reason will become obvious to you at a later date. (In other words, if you know the reason, now is NOT the time to say it)

Black bart and I made it back around 9pm Saturday night. We had to stop and refill the tank on the side of the road about 30 miles or so outside of Bernaillo, before we could complete the refill we were pounded by rain and hail. We crawled inside the rig till the tank was full then jumped out and disconnected the hose. We then ended up pulling over again in the town because it was raining so hard the wipers were just moving the water back and forth. Then I went in to work today to find out that they R.I.F.ed 40 of us on Friday. LOL
Next year I hope I can get someone at one of the propane places who knows the difference between a 100 pound tank and a 100 gallon!!
