If you do a search here in this column you'll get tons of info, you can also to the Forums home page and check out the tech write ups there: http://www.ifsja.org/forums/vb/ (well, guess we don't have anything listed there yet, you can try the home page and the tech library maybe)
BTW, Welcome aboard!

Oh boy, here we go again... :D After you search, and come up with some specific questions shoot away... Also, if you dont have big tools, a grinder, welding skills, and $1000-$1500 dont bother... If you want to have someone else do it for you... Good luck, most shops WILL NOT touch it... AND, an SOA will give you 6"-7" of lift (which means TOP HEAVY), so you may want to start out with wider axles before you drop alot of coin on what you got...

 :D

Try checking out the stuff these guys http://www.ttsfabworks.com/ sell and read some of the posts about SOA before getting started. I love mine but I have $1000 into it and most of that correcting steering issues. I used a high steer set up which cost more. I also have wider J10 axles under my rig.

Good luck with it!

Nope, but for WAY less than a gold brick....

There is not much room in my $1000 budget for a $800 steering set-up thats for sure.

Which reminds me... If anyone pays that much for high-steer, beware, because THE SELLER IS STEALING FROM YOU!!!

I agree also, but this aint my day job.
Why don't some of you SOA braniacs, pull together a set of all SOA links, (preferably from someone that ran a SOA rig for more than 2-3 months).
Post them up, I'll compile them, then we can quit bashing the new folks.
I'll start:
http://www.fsjnetwork.com/fsjn/viewtopic.php?t=1979
http://www.fsjnetwork.com/fsjn/viewtopic.php?t=1810
http://www.ifsja.org/forums/vb/showthread.php?t=19682
That last one is yours Dmntxn77

You folks have anything else to add?
Post it up.
It's your suggestion, I'll make it happen, but quit being such snobs, you were all new at one point also.

Was I being a snob?? I alway come off wrong... Anyway, I will do some diging and see what I can come up with.

Also, I plan to do a SOA on my 76 Wag REAL soon. I will do a complete write-up including the steering correction... You will be welcome to post it up on your site too if ya want...

Which reminds me.. Do you have a discount for repeat customers... :D

I sort of meant all of us in general, not specifically you.
That's pretty much the standard line "Use The Search Function".
Problem with that is a lot of the really good stuff does not have SOA in the title and if you search the text of all posts you have to filter through too much crap.

Let's do this right for these guys, I'll create the sticky, then we won't have to do it again.

Email me on the discount, I've been occasionally adjusting perch prices to be more competitive with M.O.R.E.
I can't do much with the RB kits, that's pretty labor intensive per kit and involves a good chunk of change keeping stock on hand.

I know that you did not just mean me... I was just putting my offerings on the table...

I will e-mail you soon... Now that I sold my 4" lift, I am going to have to do something to fit the rubber... :D :fsj:

Oh goody!!!
I can hardly contain my enthusiasm...
Maybe you'll finally be able to back up your opinions with facts... or not.

Wow, you are a real dumb@ss!! What "opinions" are you refering to?? I have done an SOA and high-steer before, and I will do it again... I dont know why you feel the need to be an @ss to me... I have been on here a while and offered my best advise, MANY times.. Just because I think that paying $800 for a high steer is CRAZY, you seem to have some personal issue with me... Well, GET OVER IT!!! I will continue to offer my help to people who ask. If you dont like my opinion, then dont read my posts.. It is dumb for you to continue to attack my posts. Once again... GET OVER IT...
