NO, this is not a for-sale post, so don't tell me to move it. kthx.

So, this is what i'm needing to know:

I have in my possession, one used but in good condition (albiet grimy), SM-465 GM 4-spd transmission with 32-spline tailshaft, coupled with a factory adapter to one slightly less grimy ROUND pattern 32-spline NP-205, fixed rear yoke t-case; all pulled from a 1987 k-30.

I won't be needing these as I have an auto/205 for my wag, and the m-715 is getting a diesel, so how much should I ask for them? I'm rather reluctant to ship them as they are beastly and were hard enough to get out of the truck bed the first time.

any input is appreciated, TIA.:fsj:

I bought a SM465 with NP208 longshaft output recently and paid $50. I will be posting it on denver and fort collins CL soon as I want it out of my garage to make room for the NV4500 coming in a couple weeks.

As for the 205... let me know how much you want for it. It would save me a step in converting my 10 spline NP205 to 32 spline for the Klune. I could run up there and we could meet (since you didn't come to the Wyoming M&G).

EDIT: I would prefer it be sooner rather than later as I am cutting the u-bolts on my truck 8/1/06. I suppose if I needed to I could pick it up in my DD VW Jetta.

I think the round 205 is considered very desirable by some,
with the 465, I think is would likely pull some good money on the bay.

brad, the tranny isn't worth much. sorry but chevy 4-speeds are a dime a dozen. the case however is worth a metric butt-ton. i had people quote me prices from $500-$600 not including shipping. i'd say you could get at least $500 for it. i got lucky and got mine $350 including the tranny

yeah, i didn't figure the sm-465 was worth much, I was trying to figure out if I could get someone to take it as a package deal. oh well, the NP-205 is what I was most interested in. thanks for the input, keep it comming if you've got it.

I'm looking on 'da bay right now to see what's around.

I just missed on a round pattern GM 205 with the adaptor and TH400 for $150 on ebay!
That specific adaptor goes for ~$75.
The 205 for $350 up unless you really score.
Rebuild kits are ~$168. so if it needs rebuilt....
If it has the slip yoke tailshaft deduct ~$100 'cause you'll want to fit fixed yoke which seems to run ~$75-100. or cheaper depending on how big a scrounger you are.

fixed rear yoke t-case

so i guess $450 would be a decent asking price? I don't want to gouge, but I do want this to pay for most of the TBI motor I just stumbled onto.
