Were would be the best place to get a set of (new or used) four inch rear leaf springs for a 1968 Jeep Wagoneer. The best I found for a new set was 150 a piece. Thought about getting a set out of an old Chevy, but wasn’t sure on the spring size… Thanks again

52" GM truck springs will work if you replace the front bushing with one to fit your Wagoneers post mount. Tadsal has a bunch of info on this. He was running 2.5" lift GM 52" springs on his Wagoneer. You might be able to find the GM spring packs used. But then $300 for new rear springs isn't that bad.
BJ's offers compete 4" lift kits for post mount Wagoneers, you might e-mail them and see if they can sell you just the rears.

Tag *was* running 52" chevy springs, now he has 62" chevy springs.
But yeah, the only place you will get lift springs is from BJ's offroad, or get chevy springs and change out the bushings. You will ned to see what size post you have (several sizes wereused) then find a bushing that will work.
How about a set of 52" GM springs (2 1/2" lift) with the front 7/8" post bushings already installed and a pair of 2" steel blocks?
I haven't figured out what I want for them yet, I paid $320 for them in Feb 2002 so obviously not that much.
Shipping might be a bear to SD but I could check it out on my FedEx account.
Shoot me an email if you are interested.

Hey Tadsal, I just saw your website, very cool stuff. I am seriously considering SOA conversion in near future. I just purchased my second Wag, 80 model that was started by this guy for his wife and he changed his mind. Paid 600. and it needs a carb, batt, paint and inter. put back together.
The bad part is he has a 3 in. spring lift from JC whitney with blocks in rear and a 3 in. body lift. I would like to run 35's if possible and he already did some fender trimming which he did a nice job on, however he rounded the rear fender wells I don't know why but they look Ok. Do the GM springs offer more flex than stock? I met this guy over here in Weatherford, Tx named Curtis, had a real nice 88 with SOA and 35's which he just sold on this website and he told me stock was the way to go with SOA conversion?
I would be interested in seeing your bumpers. I like your racks too, right now the BJs bumpers are looking good. I appreciate any suggestions you might have. Was thinking of losing the 3 in. body lift going back to stock springs with add a leafs then doing the SOA? Let me know what you suggest if you have the time. This website is invaluable.

52 GM over Stock have more flex?
No, actually they do not.
More arch = less flex
It's a rear post mount thing for the 63-75 wag/chero & some trucks.
I got your PM and replied there.
I don't like to pimp my stuff on the board, well, unless it's my personal junk, then it's open season
