Well a friend of mine helped me rig up the vaccuum line to the transfer case so that I can shift it into four wheel drive. I had already rigged up a vaccuum line to the front diff with another friend so that I can lock the front up. We bypassed all the switches and ran one single line to the transfercase vaccuum motor thingy, and then the other end went to the manifold. It worked fine and it locked into four wheel drive high and low. The only problem is I can't shift the transfer case back into the two wheel drive setting. I drove around and my front driveshaft is still spinning, and when I shift the lever inbetween 4H and 4L into the N setting, the drivetrain is in neutral and not back into 2 wheel drive. I'm really at a loss of what to do. I tried disconnecting the vaccuum, that didn't work, I tried reconnecting the vaccuum, and that didn't work either. What else is there to do? Any help is greatly appreciated, I just need to get back into two wheel drive. THANKS!!!

There is another nipple on the vacuum motor that you must apply vacuum to inorder for the motor to work the mode lever back to 2WD.

Hey Doug. Pull up the floor pan again like you did this weekend. You will see where we plugged in the hard line. Like Chevelleguy said, you also need vacuum to disengage the transfer case. Look for the large round vacuum pot, the current hookup will lead you right to it. There will be another vacuum line coming out of it. Move the hard line over to that port, and it will disengage. One more thing, don't sweat being in 4wd on the street. It won't hurt anything with that transfer case...

haha...I was getting so frustrated, and a few minutes after I posted this I took a break and figured it out. My problem was that I didn't know I was in four wheel drive, and my front diff wasn't locked so the front driveshaft was just spinning and I was driving around all day thinking my tranny was going, then I figured out it was in four wheel drive. I didn't know I could just lock my front diff and drive around in four wheel drive, I didn't think it was good, but now I know otherwise. Well all is well now, I just have to figure out a way to go from four wheel drive to two wheel drive without popping the hood and switching vaccuum lines. I have an idea, I just have to go to a hardware store. Thanks guys....
