i have been wondering what are some of the tire sizes on different size rims and under load. i would like to hear about as many tire brands as possible. measured from top to bottom.

example: 31x10.50 on a 15x7 rim without a load(on the jeep)
31x10.50 on a 15x8 rim with a load (off the jeejp)

33x11.50 on a 15x7 rim without a load
33x11.50 on a 15x8 rim with a load

35 and so on................

You need to look on the manufacturers website. Some tires run under (most radials) and some tires run over. My 33x12.50 TSL's are 33.7" tall, while my old 3x12.50 coopers were 32.5" tall.

The wheel width wont effect the tire height much once its on the truck.

What are you getting at here? Tires will have varying sidewall thickness' and tire pressures. Tire pressure guages are probably accurate to +/- 1psi making pressure an inaccurate variable at best. I would even go as far as to say that same-make same-model same-size tires would even vary in sidewall thickness. Either of these two variables will skew your data.

So WHY are you asking for this? I don't get it.

Not to hijack this thread but is it ok to run a 33" tire on a 15X7 wheel or what is recommended? Is 15X10 too much?

It's fine to do that 83, manufacturers will have different spec's but I have done it and seen it done a lot with no ill effects.

I agree BRUTUS, I have 8, 36x12.5 Hummer tires here, all with darn near the same tread depth, they vary as much as 1/2" betwwen some of them.

mostly just curious, i have noticed that some brands are much less in actual hight than labled, even on a 15x7 wheel. and also i was wondering what a 33x11.50 buckshot would measure on a 15x8 wheel.
