Does anyone know how much their rear bumper weighs?
Stock, like for you 76 Chero? with brackets?
Or
Some aftermarket bumper?

Depends on who makes it, and what it is made of and how well it is made.
I have the BEST!! :D
Gees, depends on a lot of things.
Wall thickness, length x width x height.
I've got one on CJM's truck, must be pushing 80lbs plus bracketry.
Have one on my wag, can't be more than 30lbs. plus bracketry.
This might help you.

I just built one for my Cherokee and I really like it, but I am curious as to how it compared to other aftermarket bumpers in regards to weight.

I rear bumper on my cherokee is like 35-40 pounds or something. The rear on my J10 is a bit bigger so its probably 5-10 pounds more or so.

If it's like mine it'll come off in 10-minutes. Plus you get the chance to scrub down and paint otherwise inaccessible areas. Have a bathroom scale ready and get an exact answer. Everytime you take off or swap parts of any significance write the weights down in a notebook. :)
I know what mine weighs. I just want to see if it is inline with the aftermarket.

mine weighs right around 100lbs with all the brackets, caps, and shackle tabs. yeah, its a pig. 3"x4"x1/4" rectangle, capped. the shackle tabs are 3"x3/4"x6" solid stock (2 of them, which go all the way through the tube, welded front and back), and the mounts are the same thing (2 more) PLUS 3/8x6" angle (2 pieces of angle, one each side). All this welded to the rear crossmember. it's MASSIVE... I've hit things backing up and dented the 1/4" thick tubing without any damage to the truck. thats exactly why it's made so big!

Mine weighs 63lbs. The brackets are all 3/16" and 1/4" plate. Must add on another 20-25lbs. Just a step bumper with no tow points or anything. Made from all 3/16" 6"x6" square tubing and a 3/8" step plate.
edit. Opps. It has some 6x2 in there as well.

i never weighed it, but mine is prolly in the 150-200 lbs range. when i was putting it in place i had it across both knees and i could hardly keep it up... I pity the fool that hits that end of my truck :)
i kniow you're wondering... it's made from a hydraulic cylinder, 4" round, 3/8" plus wall about 6' long, with a 4' piece of 4" channel on the back to replace my no good crossmember, and a 2" reciever hitch underneath.
