second pic is up on BlackBear looking east towards 550
second is on Bullion King mine road which is road just south of BB road, it is narrow for a short while, my right tires where clipping rocks and left tires almost hanging off road, scary for a few minutes, NT may fare better, last time we were there was in Bronco II, much smaller

hey look at Draco climb that thar hill! woohoo!

I'm really jealous. It's been a couple of years since I have been in the Ouray area. And now that I'm stuck on the east coast, who know's how much longer it will be :( :(

I was hoping to head back out to CO for the CFSJA Ouray even this year, but my sister is getting married that weekend . Maybe if I am lucky I can get out of here for a long weekend later this summer and take the Jeep down. The San Juan's and the Ouray are definitely one of the most beutiful areas in the state, and in the country for that matter.

David stuck on entry to Engineer from hwy 550, NO LONGER looks like this.
They hauled in dirt and spread it as far as you can see from road, seems like they want to make it "friendly" for the yuppie luxury 4wheelers!

http://www.fullsizejeeps.com/jeeps/files/Misc-Pictures/100_0943b.jpg

Ralph, go chk this out and report findings, I couldn't tell how far up they bladed the dirt, if they make these trails too easy it won't be worth going to Ouray any more, other than to 'cool down'.

oh dangit Phil... I bet they don't trouble with the bowling ball field up above beyond the turn off to Poughkeepsie though. Heh, that is some slow rock-n-roll up there.

Nice pic of David's J10 too!

I see yer pic and raise you a quart of QT fluid. :D

Our dogs had no trouble with the chilly waters in 03. And still a little snow around Clear Lake for a dry winter. We had fires galore at Mesa Verde that year.

LMAO. That smiley is an XJ. If you put your mouse over it fsj pops up. It seems that it must have been stolen for use here. The name of the pic is http://www.ifsja.org/forums/vb/images/smilies/custom/xj.gif (http://www.ifsja.org/forums/vb/images/smilies/custom/xj.gif).

Trout Lake was cold, I hate to think how cold clear Lake would be.

does this mean we're going to have to go on some midnight runs to 'borrow' a few 20 gallon grill tanks for you? :D

I propose gathering your blackmail evidence on old bart there early, that's a sad thing, to set up a buddies jeep and not go for the test ride..the second year in a row

Good luck to ya!

Well we were unsuccessfully in fixing the leak I actually saw Bart twist the tip off a Klein flat blade screwdriver trying to turn the screw!!! We decided that any further action could put "Crom" out of action completely so we decided to live with the small leak for now!

Definatly not!!! breaking the jeep before I get there LOL after well! Bart and I were discussing that it is probably time to look for a new tank preferably one of a simular size and mounting .
