today i went to grease the caliper bolts up and noticed that they are facing outward from eachother, not much but enough to where i have to push on the pin to get it into the hole, they are facing like this \ /. of course not that exagerated but they are enough to definitly notice, both sides. has anyone had this problem? should i worry about it or should i try to fix them to where they are free?
I'm thinking you mean like they were tapped at a slight angle?
I would have noticed something like that on mine, I'm pretty picky about my steel products.
I had no problems with my Sky 14-Bolt disc brackets.
I'd take a pic and contact them.
It would make sense to me that with them not dead on there may be some extra resistance and the caliper may not move/selfcenter like it should.
I could be wrong, I'm certianly no disc brake expert :)

Mine are somewhat like that; it's like they are just a TINY bit off, but there's enough play in the threads to get the pins to go through the bushings on the calipers at the right angle.
I should have added that the spacer setup, is not really favorable IMHO, but I figure to weld that all into one piece (got bigger problems, so the J2K project is way down on the list).
Pretty sure it will be fine after it's welded in place.

yup, they are just alil bit off. i have to push the pin in toward the caliper while screwing the pin in for it to go into the caliper hole. its not much off just a smidgen.

does the caliper slide freely when everything is tightened?
most 'stock car' brackets will require a fair amount of adjusting after the welds cool to get the caliper straight and square with the rotor... although the sky / etc 14-bolt brackets are much heavier material, i guess i would not be too surprised to find that they might need a tweak here and there to get everything 'just right'
