Does anyone know where I can get adapters to make my new jeep d60 take 6 lug wheels? I know why do you wanna go 6 lug? Well I have 2 sets of 6 lug wheels and I have a 6 lug front axle so why not. Any help greatly appreciated.

If you mean by changing the hubs then go to Gear Tech: http://www.geartechhd.com/gallery/displayimage.php?album=2&pos=0

Really all I need is some adapters. I can find them to go 5-6 or 6-5 but not 8-6.

that is because the center hub is a different size, the ff hub will not fit between a 6 lug wheel.

Have the OD of the hub turned down and then redrill them to 6 lug....

So what kind of a price would I be looking at to convert my front axle to 8 lug? Cause after looking at the hubs I would be cheaper to do that and buy wheels. I have a 6 lug d44 front.

Just find some 8 lug hubs from a chevy 44, or a chevy 10 bolt for that matter. It's the same

You cant machine the hub down that far. You can fin 6 lug wheels with a big center opening, I have some, but they arent easy to find. It would be far cheaper to just buy some 8 lug wheels. Plus if I was upgrading to tons, I wouldent want to downgrade to a weaker lug patern.

I dont know of any adapters for that application.you could try this.
Some aftermarket 6 lug wheels will fit the 60 hub, If they do you have something to work with. heres what you could do for a cheap fix, not a great one one but a cheap one. Knock out the 8 lug studs ,take a old 6 lug rotor and have a shop machine the center to slip over the hub. should be about 30.00. use the rotor as the template for your 6 lug pattern .weld over the 8 holes in the stub rotor assembley. Put the 8 lug hub with the 6 lug rotor slipped over it in a drill press and drill 6 holes for your studs. Install the studs and your ready to go.As I said not a great option but it will work.I have done this on a gmc which we installed a 60 front but stayed with the 12 bolt rear .the guy we did it for was having trouble snapping front u joints but wasent having problems with the rear end so it was economical to do it this way.

I think I will just find a d44 rear with 3:54 gears for now. Then I will buy a d60 front and when I break one of the d44's I will go d60's. Thanks for all your help guys.
