I called Jess at HAD and Steve at AZD for quotes and to see what I need now that I have some $$$ for this.

HAD told me that my front shaft will be $898 alone!! I keep seeing you guys say that a front shaft costs about $300. AZD quoted me for $525 for the front shaft, but this is the Bad Boy Jr.

Am I doing something wrong? Could I have given them the wrong angles and numbers?

I have a Dana 44 SOA front, and a shackle flip AMC 20 rear with the 63" Chevy leafs. My front tube slope (yoke to yoke) is 25~26 deg's and the rear is 19 deg.

Is this different than what other people have in this application?

What should I be looking for?

Last summer I ordered up a front shaft with the 1-ton CV and 1410 yoke for the front D60; ended up just under $800. Maybe say you heard of him on the Pirate board; sometimes he gives a discount for people from that board.

I also got three 1410 yokes for the axles and TC and a rear driveshaft with the .120 wall tubing. Glad I went with that tubing, as I candy-striped the shaft last-time out while resting on a rock, and it held up fine for the long drive home.

I would have to meassue the angles but I have a HAD front and rear drive shaft. Expensive but worth every cent.

You want to play hard you need hard gear...this equals expensive

strength costs. theres no way around that, unles of course you do it yourself.

i had a high angle front shaft from arizona driveline, a standard cv that was clearenced. this was about $350. the bad boy cv is more then that.

the shaft worked on a soa w/ 4" lift w/ no binding at full flex.
