Just absolutely BEAUTIFUL!
It obviously looks scramblerish, but with a little longer wheelbase and a better departure angle.
Most people won't recognize that it has the heart and soul of an FSJ.

Very nice creation. I would love to do something like that someday. If you dont mind me asking. How much did it end up costing? I mean minus the inital cost of your FSJ.

Yep, most CJ guys are gonna think he took a CJ-8 and put on a YJ front clip and are gonna yell and scream and cry about it.

Thanks for the compliements fellas, I can't friggin wait to drive it!!! As for time and money. It took about 6 months, working one Saturday every other weekend, and then about 1 hr each night (after the kids go to bed). Money is a whole other issue, it's hard to describe because so much of my stuff is used, I bought some of it in chunks, and some of it seperate. Let's put it this way - you'd have a hard time spending less than 2k, assuming you do all the work yourself. But that includes some of the niceties, like half doors, a top, etc.

Don't run out thinking that this is only 2k and a few months of spare time. He started with a fantastic chief with great running gear. I bet he spent alot more time researching stuff and tracking down parts. I saw it a couple of times while he was working on it. I assure you his reply above does not reflect the true about of time, money and energy he spent on it.
Nice job! Any plans for a half or full top?

To say that thing rocks and is awesome is an understatement. I had a scrambler a while back and thought aboiut a similar project. Very nice work, could have been factory

I like your pic! That was taken at my house. That is my house in the background.
Yes that was what it started as.
Where is Sitting Bull? I am anxious to see some action shots and get a report of how it has been / any issues that came up. Feed the fire!?

Yep I second that Jode! As for Brad...he does seem to be MIA?
Brad is a slacker! ;) Actually, he's been having some health issues and the project has been on the back burner. What I can tell you is he is picking up my welder tonight and working on the cage this weekend with GAWag and possibly me. I'm sure he'll chime in soon! :fsj:

Hey. I have a Scrambler and I am not cryin'. That looks awesome. A close buddy took a full size cherokee, sectioned the frame back down a few inches, moved the engine mounts and mounted a Scrambler body. Did you know that "Z" engines were never offered on an an 8?:D
Very nice job, even if it does have rectangular headlights.
