I don't post up too much but I surf this section religiously and used the tech here and even before this section was here to build my truck. I have moved overseas and am staying for a while so I'm selling the truck...but the good news is that I'm selling my truck and using the money to get another FSJ already overhere in Europe...and its a killer ride.

I went from this:

To THIS:

To hopefully get another nice ride to pass on to my kids... http://www.angelfire.com/freak/79cherokee/

So, if you want me to reach my goal please pass this thread along to five of your friends in the next 5 minutes...just kidding...

Here's the thread if you are interested or know someone who might want a modded cherokee... http://www.ifsja.org/forums/vb/showthread.php?t=49925

Thanks for your support...and no I won't chop it. I'm gonna use it to tow my buggy one day... :)

Thanks again for all the tech...

Hey man, good to hear from ya. Orangecherokee and I were talking about you a few weeks back. We were having a HELL of a time trying to get his clutch to engage/disengage with his AMC/SM465 setup and the only person we could think that had done the same swap was you. But, neither one of us knew where the heck you were. Anyhow, now we know ;) Good luck getting the new rig.

PS. We've since solved the problem for OC but just out of curiosity what was your master/slave setup on that rig?

edit: Now I'm reading you've got a TH400 in there. Did you ever have a 465 or are we just mistaken?

I never did the swap...just the tech gathering. I've been watching Nick's progress to see how it came out. ;)

I am going to try to get the 465 in my jeep today. I have got the bellhousing attached and the flywheel, clutch and pressure plate in the truck but i need it to stop raining so i can put the tranny in. I have a large garage but the jeep wont fit in it anymore. I bought a master and slave for an 80's cj. What did you guys end up using and how did it work out. Let me know, I am about to get to that step.

Sorry about the tangent but that is the info I need. That rig sure does look sweet.
