Is that front bumper custom built or did you buy it?
How much lift do you have?

That's great! :)
And thumbs up for keeping it AMC powered too. Is yours smog exempt yet? If so you got wide open options with the motor - lucky!
I can't remember the cutoff year here. It's way out of my reach anyhow...

Did you do the body work yourself? That's got to be about the nicest job of opening up the fenders I've ever seen. Looks like it could have come that way. Great job!

I built the front bumper for my warn M12000 its just not on the jeep in that picture. I have right around 12.5 inches of lift. Thank for the compliments!

Yeah, i actually did do all the body work myself. Let me tell you....I will never do that again, or at least to the degreee that i did on this rig. The fenders turned out good but man it was a lot of work. I was trying to keep it stock looking so that no one would know the difference. You have good eyes! Thanks for the thumbs up!

Yeah, out here in california the cut off is 75 so I'm safe. The only thing I've done to this engine is replace a lot of leaky seals and thats about it! I really would like to do a FI conversion but you know how that goes. $$$$$ Thanks, for the Thumbs up!

How did you manage to get a front drive shaft that works? Thats a whole lot of suspension lift for a QT equipped rig.

I went over to Tom Woods for a front drive shaft....believe it or not, but i am running standard ujoints on my front drive shaft. (Same goes for the rear)The ujoints have offset trunnions to give mor flex. It wont start binding until about 45 degrees. Now with that said it will vibrate, i knew that going into this but since i have a part time kit and off roading is all at low speeds, i went with it. The rear is no problem to deal with...all i did was get it lengthened and she was fine. no binding, vibrating at all.
what do you mean? "thats a whole lot of suspension lift for a QT equipped rig."

WOW! That looks great. Nice job all around.
Your going to need to be a little careful wheel'n. You might find it is a little 'tipsy'. Especially if you load up that roof rack with heavy gear.

Man, that is super nice. Did you take pics throughout? Would you like to write it up and put it in FSJ magazine? That's a feature rig if I've ever seen one. What did you do to get the 12"+ of lift? SOA and lift springs? Nicely done,

Very, Very Nice! I love the fenders. Keeping the stock look is the way to go. Great looking rig. Nicest one I've seen on this site for sure!
Kudos, on all the hard work I KNOW went into that thing.

Because the QT is full time. If you run a part time kit and install hubs up front so the front shaft isnt turning then it shouldnt be an issue. But with it in full time mode, the u-joints will wear out very fast. Have you checked to see if it binds up when you flex out the suspension?

Zack-
Well, i took pics a certain stages...not at every point. but i do have some. Wow, i never thought about putting it in a magazine, I would be honored to do a write up with some pics! Not sure how that works but if you know let me know. Thanks!
Also, 12.5" of lift consists of SOA in front, with 6" Rusty's springs. My own custom suspension in the rear. Basically, i cut off the factory post mounts and i made my own spring hangers and lowered everything to compensate up front. I really don't like lift blocks so that's why i went that route. I continue to use stock springs with a 2" add-a-leaf in the rear, but no blocks! I think it turned out pretty good. Thanks for the Kudos!
If anyone has any questions concerning the lift...especially because it's the post mount and not alot out there for that, or anything else for that matter...let me know, here's my email address:

I have a part time kit in already with locking hubs.

Schweeet job!!! Looks like you have built it for mostly mud wheelin right?? Seems like anything with lateral slopes (or vertical for that matter) would be asking trouble... Eitherway, take it easy on that wheelin trip, I would hate to see it on its top!..

i couldn't tell you the paint code...it's not from jeep, i just basically picked a color i liked and a local paint store mixed it up for me. I didn't keep any of the info. Sorry!
We just did that, took my kid's General Lee toy in to the paint store and had a gallon custom mixed for the mud truck.:o
