i know this has been beaten to death, but, what tire size can i fit under a gw with a soa lift. Can i fit 38's with trimming, keep in mind the sawzall and i are good friends. I've seen guys trim up to the door sills on the gw's , i don't mind that at all, but can i fit this tire, or will i have to go with a 37. I'm not worried about doing the lift, but i do want to know what a good tire size is for this lift. How much trouble will the 360 have turning the tires with stock gears for awhile. I won't have money for gears until i'm finished buying tghe next set of axles. i owuld like to know if anyone is running a thirtyseven or turdyeight on stock gears. thanks

33's with zero trimming, 35's with some trimming, 37's with more trimming, 39's with 2" springs and trimming.

37-38" tires with either 2.73 or 3.31 gears (only gears grand wags came with) is going to be terrible. It will move, but you wont be crawling up anything. You will have to use more skinny pedal for sure. The stock axles may not hold up for realy long with 37-38" tires either. Generally 35's are as big as you want to go with stock axles unless you really baby it.

A guy I know with a 70 wag with an SOA and 37's (lots of trimming) ran stock gears for one season, but found there was some obsticals that he simply couldent get up because the gearing was too high (He had 3.54's in a D44/D60 setup). He could floor it and the tires simply wouldent turn (the drive shafts ended up twisting as I recall).
