I made it finally, my password hasn't been working. I need some help with this 258 engine. The exhaust manifold is cracked and it leaks exhaust bad. It also leaks where the ex. manifold is gasketed to the intake manifold. this area is very pited and rusted thin. Every used manifold I find is in as bad or worse shape than mine. They are all cracked at the area near the choke hot air fitting. I cannot afford a new manifold and I would have to buy an intake also to be good enough to seal to it. Every 258 jeep I get around seems to be leaking exhaust in the same area. Has anyone found an aftermarket manifold or maybe a header that is improved and maybe would not be so prone to cracks. Surely someone else has had this problem. Everyone says the 258 is a real good engine, so I would like to keep it in my truck. Please help.
