I had about decided against the SOA... as I mentioned when I joined, I know a guy, the guy I bought my Cherokee from, who owns his own custom shop. He said he'd do an SOA for $500... good enough... but my question was, after being on here for awhile, how do you get the backend up? I certainly don't want 7 inch blocks... I need to go talk to him some more, 'cause I'm sure he already had that questioned answered if I had only asked it... but, in the meantime, what are the options for the back?

TT's Fabworks makes a full kit for the SOA. Front perches matched to your axle for the front, and a shackle flip kit for the rear to even it out. Then all you have to do is the steering and drive shafts, and on your year, the exhaust y-pipe has to be changed.

I would go with the shackle flip it will give you allot more travel in your suspension. If the guy qouted you 5 hundred that isn't bad at all. I've seen people pay 1200$ for one. If he is going to build perches and every thing for 500 than do that Shackles are easy to make. I need to do this with my rig just been really busy. I need to step up the pace and get it done so I can go out and break some stuff.
Dirtball,
I'm a bit confused.
Your guy qouted you $500 to do what?
Weld perches on?
(I do that for free if you prep it and drag it over).
Do perches (all fitment and grinding), make it level and setup the steering?
(I can see that if you guy provides the parts/mods, knuckle tapping, steering arm, DPA, studs, cones, nuts).
Flat top kuckle, drag link and tie rod would have to be on top of that for him to make $$ off of that.
Shoot me an email if you care to explore further.
(there is a ton of good SOA posts and results right here in this section of the forum).
Hope that helps.
