Okay, it's not an engine rebuild or a exciting lift kit question. But, I am going to take a look at why my intermittent wippers don't work and get them going. Any ideas what the problem could be? By the way, my windshield-wipper-fluid shooter doesn't either. I imagine that its probably a bad module.

I have an 87 Grand Wag and I'm going to go through it, little by little, and fix all these things.

I have the same problem. I have been meaning to fix it since I bought the thing. The only time the intermittent function has ever worked is when it was bitterly cold in the North Carolina mountains. I did manage to make the wipers stop working altogether once while fooling around under the dash chasing another problem.

I understand that there is an intermittent module under the dash somewhere. Supposedly, if this goes out, it can cause failure of the intermittent function. Where to get a replacement unit is another story altogether. That's why I haven't really fooled with it.

My intermittent wipers work - sorry no help. But I've always thought my FSJ wipers moved slower than any other car/truck I've driven. Maybe it's just me, but if not, has anyone swapped in a different wiper motor? Thanks,

If they are anything like my power window motors, they are probably tired or in need of lubrciation. You might try hitting them with some 3 in 1 oil and see if that helps.

I just happen to have a can of silicone spray to do my electric door locks and windows. I'll hit the wiper motor and linkage at the same time and see if that helps.
Thanks.

If you think the later models are slow, try the ones on a 65. There are some slow wipers.

The intermittent module is left of the steering column right above the air conditioning louvers on my 88 GW. It is a little box held on with velcro.

I hope this helps.
