Seeing how I can't find a tsm for my '69 wag, can anyone tell me if the rear hub retaining nut has to be torqued?, and if so, how much?, or do you tighten it down as much as you can?
Thanks

I think he means hub-to-axle, as in 2-pc axles.

I thought an "Axle nut" was a chick that followed Guns-n-Roses around on tour. http://www.ifsja.org/ubb/biggrin.gif

My manual says that the axle shaft nut should be torqued to 150 ft. lb. .

Tucsonrick, with the tapered axle shaft as the guy Monster Somthing above said(doesn't "anyone" have a real name anymore?) the torque is minimum 150 ft-lbs.
