Thermal Clutch fan locked up

I noticed that RBY's fan was awefully loud all the time....almost like a drect drive.. but had a thermal fan clutch... it was SUPER tight!!!

You could barely hear the 50 Series Deltaflow Flowmaster over the fan!! :eek:

I bought a new one from Zone and it unleasehed MASSIVE amount of power that was unfelt before.... it's AWESOME!

Now she scoots pirty dang good!!! even though she did before, but much better now...

Amazing how the little things in life can be so pleasing... :D

She must have been groaning so loud that it sounded like she was ready for take-off!!! :D :D

The oil probably seeped out around the shaft seal, and it was seizing up... an engaged fan will definitely suck up a good 15 hp at least...

It's very likely. The clutch setup fans are much more aggressive than standard fans.

I'm surprised RBY couldn't throw her in neutral on the highway and let the fan pull the Chero along!!! tongue.gif smile.gif
