We bought it in May of 1998 for $1400, and I've been working on it ever since to undo the "repairs" and neglect of the previous owners. I wanted to buy it for hauling lumber and tow-duties, but my wife liked it so much that she drafted it into everyday child-hauling service.
It currently has a good-running stock 2-bbl 360, but with 163,000 miles on it, I'm sure it could use a rebuild. At that time, I'll blueprint it and add an RV cam but retain the stock intake and emissions equipment to keep it legal in our home state of Rhode Island.
A suspension lift will not be too practical for its family-hauler duties (my little daughter can barely climb into it as is!), but plans for improving its offroadability include 30x9.5 tires, swaybar disconnects and new shocks.
