All right. I give up trying to locate a tank for both my j-20 and j-10. Both are plastic and both have cracks. Anyone have any luck putting in a different tank. Im thinking of putting in a friggin fuel cell from summit if i have to.

Try mtscompany.com. They have a full range heavy-guage plastic gas tanks, sending units, etc. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Thanks for the info. Anything would be an improvement at this point. As if the 750 4bbl edelbrock carb doesnt suck enough gas its worse to put more than ten gallons in and see it run all over the ground.

Sounds like you suffer from the same thing many of us do -- Jeep-aholicism. Good luck.

I f you don't want to spend alot of money and willing to fabricate some...I have a mid-80's Ford Bronco tank stuffed in my rig... chech out my site....33 gallons is much better to carry...

I just drove by an older model FSJ (okay they are all older models but this thing was from the 70's. It had a filler on the pass side. Was there a second tank option on this side? Looking under my 81 I don't think another tank would fit there.

im not sure about two tanks on the trucks. im currently working with mtscompany on the tank for my truck. unfortunately my sending unit is on the front. they sell tanks on the top. therefore i have to buy a sending unit also. anyone bought this type of tank and converted? its seems easy enough, just wandering about sending unit readings and the like.
