J-20 Axle question...

Which side is the pumpkin on, on a J-20 Dana 44 front axle? Driver or passenger? I'm still searching for a stonger axle for SOA conversion.

mine out of the 75 was on the passenger side

79 and earlier, passenger side, 80 and up, drivers side.

i did the swap and it worked out well. I got mine from an 83 J20 I believe.

It depends if the rig was from the 80's or 70's. The 80's will be on the driverside and the 70's will be on the passenger side.
