No it wasn't a jiffy lube smile.gif I had my rear main seal replaced and the guy stripped the oil plug. :mad: What is the best way to fix this? Thanks

Hit any parts store and tell the you need a "1x oversize oil plug" it taps the hole and works as a plug. Save some of the oil you drain out when you do it so you can pour it back through to wash out the metal from cutting the new hole. They cost about $5, they also come in 2x oversize and 3x oversize. I ususally buy 2 of them so I have the larger size in the glovebox in case it happens again.

There is also a rubber "stopper" plug that will work in an emergency.

And, there should be a magnetic oversize out there. Very useful in older engines.

I wouldn't trust the rubber plug. I learned the hard way .......... they are garbage! My .02
