Just a quick idiot check(I failed it redface.gif ) when installing a new carburetor: make sure the cable and throttle arm are unobstructed throughout the full range of motion. I could not figure out why my new Edelbrock carb kept holding a high idle, even after warming up. Seems the throttle springs were in the way of the fast idle arm and would not let it release, wasting more gas and helping the terrorists. Moved the springs, and the throttle now acts like it is supposed to.
