So this is a good angle, right????

So anyways, i know it sucks, gonna get some chevy springs and shackles and hopefully that will help, the 73-87 ones are like 2" longer, right? Isn't that what tad is using?

NO!!!!

when sitting level... it should be 10-15 degrees to the REAR

the first time to flex it... it will want to go back to the original position...

you need a longer main leaf by at least 2" like TAD has

Tom, no, I run the 52" Chevy 2.5" lift springs with a 2.5" block in the rear and the post mount bushing pressed into them. I don't use the shackle flip (tried it but with the lift springs it pushed the axle too far forward).
Now, part of yours might be no weight on there but I doubt that.
I always forget, are you running the wag or Jtruck frame? (shouldn't matter I would think)
They (the springs) measure out the same between the J and wag (70 Wag, 72 J) here.
I have the part # here from triangle springs...

...the distributer list is here for Montana...

...I'll shoot another pic if you need of them installed, can't seem to find the one I had posted.

I knew you weren't doing the shackle flip, i just thought you were using some sort of chevy spring, thought they might be longer, but i'm just gonna have to do some research, it looks like at least some of the 3/4tons from that era used the 56" springs, maybe w/o a couple/few leaves it might work out. I will probably run this for a while, nobody seems to have actually had probs with it, just looks bad. Once i get my flatbed made and toolbox on it (Knaack Model 42) should weigh it down a bit. Thanks guys, just was posting cuz it kinda made me laugh...

Tom,
I have some '87 Chevy springs here from the 14bolt I bought, darn sure they measured at 56" but I will double check.
I'm going to try and use the 60" set I have here and punch that rear axle back a bit more.
If they are 56", and you want them, they are yours.
