OK, I did all my homework and gathered the parts for my SOA this weekend. I even recruited a few friends, and a mig welder. I just got an email from jcwhitney that said my springs are on backorder!!!!!

Does anyone know a way to adjust the steering temporarily so I can SOA with my 4" springs?

I am not ready to go high crossover steering yet $$$

Any tips would be greatly appreciated

2 words...good luck!!! i would really consider the high steer or either hydrosteer. you could always make your highsteer with some heim joints and some tubing. it ain't pretty but it'll work temporarily.

---- JeffSo are you going back to Factory ride height springs?
You can still use the factory steering it just that you will have more bumpsteer then you will know what to do with and more then likely won't be safe to drive on the road.. But if you just need to move it around the house while you wait for your other springs I guess it would work.

I would just wait until you get your springs. Just my opinion though. Good Luck!

Slowag:I am going back to stock springs with SOA. I didn't think the the drag link would be long enough to connect to the Pitman arm with 4" + SOA ? I alos have a DPA from a 4" kit I can install. I can deal with bump steer for now, as long as I can still turn right

Orangecherokee: Actually, I am going to install hydro assist at the same time I do the SOA? Did you mean a full hydro set up?

bump steer will be a bit much for speed with a 4" DPA with SOA + 4" springs.......

IT WONT WORK!!!!

Here is a pic of 4" lift, SOA and 4" DPA

RB, Thats what I thought would happen :(

Well I guess I'll just have to wait

Also, is the hydro assist powerful enough to control the steering via the tierod, without even using the pitman arm/drag link?????

Has anyone ever used hydro assist for steering instead of full hydro???
