I inherited an 84 Grand Wagoneer 360 CID from my father. My wife uses it for a daily driver. Last week the carb died and being a gear head I rebuilt it. I have installed it and it runs extremely rich. At some point in the past the smog pump was "destroyed". The vac lines are a mess. I need to know which ones I can plug and which ones I have to use in order to get the thing running right. I downloaded the vac diagram but it is too fuzzy to read. Also I am not in an area that requires emissions testing.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Been there, done that. Without the smog pump I think you'll run rich. Try adjusting the carb with a RPM meter and a vaccuum gauge.
But first fix all the vaccuum stuff. Check http://www.studiosells.net/cgi-bin/keyword-search.cgi?words=vacuum for a bunch of posts.
A shorter reading list are some of my old posts:

And perhaps most useful is the procedure I followed for doing my vaccuum fixes.

Particularly important is the PCV stuff and that you aren't leaking manifold vacuum anywhere.
Let me know how it goes and I probably answer your questions.
